The North West’s power network operator has been recognised for its commitment to its people.
After months of hard work, Electricity North West has achieved the Investors in People (IIP) Silver accreditation, something that is awarded to just 22% of accredited businesses.
Investors in People is the international standard for people management, defining what it takes to lead, support and manage people effectively to achieve sustainable business results.
Electricity North West had previously achieved ‘standard’ status and has achieved silver status a year ahead of target
Rachael Parr, Electricity North West’s people and corporate services director, said: “We’re absolutely delighted to have been accredited with Investors in People Silver and to confirm our position as an employer of choice
“This is testament to the hard work the whole business has put in to promote a positive working environment and putting our people first.
“To enable us to be able to deliver our business plan for our customers and communities, we understand the importance of having engaged employees who are being developed and enjoy a thriving work environment. This accreditation highlights that we are succeeding in this goal.”
Paul Devoy, CEO of Investors in People, added: “We’d like to congratulate Electricity North West. Silver accreditation on We invest in people is a remarkable effort for any organisation, and places Electricity North West in fine company with a host of organisations that understand the value of people.”
