Thecompany, which was also on hand last year for Comic Relief, will transform their Manchester city centre depot into a call centre where 60 volunteers from across the North West will take calls and collect donations for the charity.
Since 2002 Sport Relief has raised over £262m for extremely vulnerable and disadvantaged people to give a helping hand to turn their lives around.
Mark Williamson, operations director for Electricity North West, said: “We are extremely proud to be volunteering our services for such a great cause and we’re delighted to have the opportunity to turn our Manchester office into a call centre again for the night.
“Everyone in our organisation from across 14 different depots, including directors, engineers and office staff have volunteered their time to take calls on the night and the enthusiasm has been fantastic.”
The fun-filled evening, which will run from 6pm until midnight on the 18th March, has been organised as part of
Electricity North West’s fundraising efforts to help support the communities in which it operates. Other activities include a charity football match and individual activities to help raise money across 14 different locations.
