CLASS helps meet customers’ electricity needs at lower cost than current technologies. This will help reduce costs, lower carbon emissions and allow more renewable generation onto the network.
The European Utility Industry Awards recognise and celebrate individuals and projects that have shown outstanding commitment and accomplishments towards a sustainable energy sector.
Steve Cox, engineering and technical director for Electricity North West, said: “We’re delighted to win the award and to generate great recognition for our CLASS project not just nationally but on a European level.
