The beautiful Lake District landscape in Longsleddale, Kendal has been enhanced as engineers start to remove decades-old overhead power lines and electricity poles.

In general, the first five days of August continued where July left off, with a lot of dry, settled and warm weather, as high pressure continued to linger across much of England and Wales.

On Friday night (24th August) engineers will complete work on Stamford Street ahead of schedule as part of a £3m project which will benefit 58,000 customers in Stalybridge, Buxton, Glossop and the High Peak areas.

Electricity North West has announced today two major appointments to its board.
